The DOC Feature
TextWare's DOC feature can help you narrow a search or more selectively
locate information. Here is how this feature works.
Each CardFile or directory is divided into several documents. In
manuals, for example, there is a document for each separate binder in
the hard copy manual set. To see the documents, simply enter DOC at the
search prompt. If you highlight a document with your cursor and press
return again, you will see the first card of the document. You can then
use the '+' key to read straight through the document, card by card.
You can also mark the document with <F5>, escape back to the search
window, and perform a search. The search results will be limited to the
document(s) marked. To view all cards in a document, mark a document,
escape back to the search prompt, and enter an asterisk. Press return
again to see a hit list of the entire document.
